FlowSphera 2.0.0 release notes

Names on the server (+7 more changes)

28 October 2026

FlowSphera 2.0 — every name on the server is FlowSphera. Up to 1.18 only the product's face had the new name; now the command, the services, the folders, the database and what other systems receive have it too. An installation upgrades as always (sudo flowtrack upgrade, or sudo flowsphera upgrade from now on) and moves to the new names by itself — data, settings, backups and the license are kept.

Changed

  • Names on the server — the command flowsphera (flowsphera upgrade | status | license | backup | restore …) and flowsphera-license; services flowsphera-collector, flowsphera-web (+ -geoip, -backup timers); folders /opt/flowsphera, /etc/flowsphera, /var/lib/flowsphera, /var/backups/flowsphera (a backups folder chosen by hand stays where it is); the service user flowsphera (same UID: files keep their owner); the ClickHouse container flowsphera-ch, its user and database flowsphera (renamed in place — nothing is copied).
  • The old names work until 3.0: flowtrack … and flowtrack-license … run the new commands and say so; systemctl … flowtrack-web (and the other units) still answer; /opt/flowtrack, /etc/flowtrack and /var/lib/flowtrack are links to the new folders.
  • Integrations say FlowSphera — update SIEM rules and webhook checks that look for FlowTrack: syslog / SIEM lines CEF:0|FlowSphera|FlowSphera|… with the app name FlowSphera; the webhook JSON "source": "FlowSphera" and the headers X-FlowSphera-Timestamp / X-FlowSphera-Signature; User-Agent: FlowSphera/<version>.
  • Backups made before 2.0 restore as before (their database flowtrack comes back as flowsphera, their settings into the new folders); the first backup after the upgrade is a full one.
  • The license stays valid: the Instance ID does not depend on the names; the upgrade compares it before and after and says so.
  • Device snippets in Connect a device name the exporter / SNMP group FLOWSPHERA (devices set up earlier keep working).
  • The repository moved to telesphera/flowsphera, with its whole history and releases. The installer, sudo flowtrack upgrade and the Source code link use the new address; the old one (henzelis/flowtrack) keeps redirecting, so installations of earlier versions upgrade as before.
